Consultative Meeting Postponed in Pakistan

Dec 2007. The first consultative meeting of our partners in Pakistan – a major mid-term communication event by RECOUP in the country - with representatives of government departments, civil society, academia and international development agencies was scheduled for 28 December 2007. But due to security considerations the meeting had to be postponed until end of March 2008. The assassination of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto took place on the evening of 27th December, just a day before the planned meeting.
