Household Census for Qualitative Studies Completed in Pakistan

hsspakJan 2008. During the census field researchers recorded detailed information about households in order to assist with sampling and selecting households with relevant characteristics. The fieldwork involved scoping for site-selection during the household census for localities in Punjab and NWFP. The fieldwork was completed in four sites - Chak 29-SP (rural) and Johar Colony (urban) in Sargodha, Punjab and Sheikh Kaili (rural) and Mirza Gang (urban) in Charsaddah, NWFP. Approximately 1500 households were enumerated in all sites.

The scoping exercise was also used to build up rapport and cooperation with local authorities and quasi- and non-governmental groups operating in the sites.
