International Conference on Education and Development (UKFIET), Oxford
RECOUP presented the first crop of its research findings at the International Conference on Education and Development held in Oxford, 11-13 September. The Conference was convened by the UK Forum for International Education and Training (UKFIET) and explored economic growth debates which are once again prioritised in development and education agendas and the educational implications of Going for Growth in the contemporary world.
The Conference provided an opportunity to organise a one-day symposium at which ten RECOUP research papers were discussed. They focused on education-society-economy relationships and provided an agenda which are central to the overall conference theme.
