Meeting of the Consortium Advisory Group (CAG)
The second meeting of the CAG was held on 27 November 2007. At the meeting, the aims, objectives and research themes were summarised and major progress made during 2007 were highlighted. The key achievements in 2007 among others were:
- completion of household surveys in Ghana
- completion of a set of five training workshops for partners
- preliminary analysis of survey data from Ghana and Pakistan
- completion of first analytical papers based on the survey results
- presentation of research findings at the RECOUP symposium as part of the UKFIET International Conference on Education and Development in Oxford in September 2007
- launch of two RECOUP publication series - Working Papers and Policy Briefs
Following two presentations of papers by RECOUP researchers, the RECOUP research agenda, its design and implementation were discussed. The meeting discussed and endorsed the RECOUP Annual Report 2006-07 and Annual Activity Plan for 2007-08 which outline the progress made towards the achievement of purpose and objectives and define priotities for the coming year.
